This study in India employed a new QuizBot technology, called Asha Didi, which was developed to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. QuizBots are similar to chatbots but instead ask the user a question to determine their familiarity with a topic and teach new information. Two versions of Asha Didi were deployed: 1) a COVID-19 myths and facts quiz advertised as ‘a fun game about COVID-19 vaccines’, and 2) a financial literacy quiz that segued into the COVID-19 quiz advertised as ‘play a game and learn about personal finances’. The COVID-19 quiz itself was taken much more than a financial literacy quiz and can be an effective way to educate the population.
