People with disabilities face an uneven playing field in COVID-19 vaccination.
This case study in Vietnam depicts how social media has positively influenced people with disabilities’ (PwDs) access to vaccination centers and health communication. PwDs, especially, hearing-impaired individuals, have a predilection for Facebook, which offers accessable groups and learning sessions, which include sign language interpreter videos. These interventions have been successful in nudging PwDs towards vaccine acceptance.
